What is your current employment?
As a geophysicist, I am in charge of the 2D seismic interpretation of the Pau Basin in order to build its structural model. Several stages are necessary: setting up the drilling database used for interpretation, pointing horizons and faults in time (interpretation) and then elaborating time grids, speed maps and grids at depth.
Which skills are required?
The use of software and methods in a independent and creative manner. Self-organization and rigorous thinking throughout the interpretation work. Relational skills are essential for the interaction with providers and project partners.
How has you Master’s degree prepared you to your current employment?
During the training I learned to be an independent worker and gathered the knowledge in geosciences necessary for my work.
